About Me
I have always loved sunflowers. They are tall, strong and face towards the sun. That is how I try to live my life.
I performed in my first show when I was 6 years old and have been hooked ever since. I fell in love with performing, storytelling and creating. I learned the power theatre has to impact lives. The magic of it inspired me as a kid. It gave me confidence and reminded me of my worth. Even if I hadn't decided to pursue theatre as a career, the skills I learned helped shape me as an adult. I hope to never stop learning, creating and growing in this field.
I am based in New York City, but I am a proud midwesterner from Columbia, Missouri and I am beyond grateful to have grown up there. (If you find yourself in this cool college town go to Main Squeeze; See an indy film at Ragtag; Try Lavender Honey and Oreo Speedwagon ice cream from Sparky's; You won't regret it.)
I graduated from The University of Alabama and loved my time there. I grew more than I knew was possible, experienced a part of the country I would not have been to otherwise and I met beautiful people.
Relationships are very important to me. I am grateful to have an amazing support system of family and friends.
Some other things that make me smile: Billy Joel, history, fitness, the outdoors, cobblestone and coffee. I love to question, debate and listen. I am also a visual artist and enjoy doing commissions in between contracts.
More than anything I love people and I love being an artist. I believe art teaches us about ourselves and human connection in ways nothing else can. I believe it teaches us to appreciate and empathize. I believe the world is better because of it.
"Think for yourself. Love others. Work hard. Dream big."
